Some recent REVIEWS by
the Wead Library’s Teen Advisory Group:

Ink and Ashes, by Valynne E. Maetani

I cried.  No, I really did because the writing style was amazing.  The world that Maetani created engulfs you in a world you never thought about.  The way that Maetani writes about the Japanese mafia is amazing.  It makes you see the world in a totally different light.  The characters were written so realistically and they were relatable.  Overall, the writing was fantastic, the world building was great and the characters were awesome.  Five stars!! – Rachel

Throne of Glass, by Sarah J. Maas

The author develops a world like none other – full of magic, mystery, and suspense.  You can really connect and relate with the three main characters throughout their journey.  This series is a must read! – Karlee

I’m reading “Wonder” by R.J. Palacio right now, and I definitely recommend it.  It is a great book! – Belle

I am currently reading “The Hobbit” by J.R.R. Tolkien, and it’s a great fantasy for people to read. – Josee

I just finished “The Outcasts: The Brotherhood Chronicles” by John Flanagan.  I absolutely recommend this book to everyone!!  John Flanagan writes so you immediately fall in love with the characters.  It’s awesome! – Becca

“Fang: A Maximum Ride novel” by James Patterson is a suspenseful book that keeps the reader wondering when the death mentioned at the beginning of the book will come. – David

“The Girl Who Became a Beatle” by Greg Taylor is about a girl who wakes up and her band breaks apart and want to perform at a dance.  It’s a good book! – Thalia

The circus arrives without warning……The Night Circus, by Erin Morgenstern, is an amazing stand alone novel with plenty of mystery, magic, and romance. I really enjoyed the characters and plot because it was so intricate. If you haven’t read this book, then you definitely should. – Rachel

There’s a boy, Torak, and he is part of a clan and goes on a trip…The Ancient Darkness Series by Michelle Paver is amazing and so much adventure and mystery. I love this series and the characters are very creative. I really hope you read this series. – Lindsey

Where She Went, by Gayle Forman, is an amazing sequel to If I Stay by the same author. It’s from Adam’s point of view as he tries to reunite with Mia. – Karlee

I liked Avengers vs. Ultron by Kurt Busick, because it has super heroes, fighting, and explosions. It is great! I think other kids will enjoy it as much as I did. The different stories are amazing. – Tom

I Am Number Four, by Pittacus Lore, is a really suspenseful and exciting book. There are five books in the series so far, and I can’t wait to read them all this year. — Elara
