Fourth of July ahead!

courtesy Lake Placid, the annual Fourth of July parade

We have many new arrivals on our shelves that could make great vacation reading over the Fourth.  “The ministry of utmost happiness”  by Arundhati Roy is getting rave reviews.  “Beach house for rent”  by Mary Alice Monroe could be just the ticket for some light and lazy reading on the beach, as well. If non-fiction is your preference, “Return of the King: Lebron James” could satisfy your basketball cravings this summer.  Also, “Curators” by Lance Grande sheds  a bright light on the life of a curator who has collected and curated for museums around the world. Photos of man eating lions, exquisite jewelry, and so much more beautifully show the rarified world of the curator. A bit of an announcement and then our latest acquisitions:

The Wead Library will be open Monday, July 3rd, from 10:00AM until 6:00PM. We will be closed on Tuesday July 4th, 2017. We will re-open Wednesday on new summer hours for July and August.
