Summer has truly arrived in the North Country with its  sunny days, yard sales, hiking, fishing, and that lovely treat, a good summer read! Some really warm temperatures are here too!  There is much to do at the Wead Library in July that will appeal to all the family. We welcome our loyal patrons but also invite our summer visitors to join in the fun and action here on Elm Street.  If you have any questions about any of the programs, just give a call at 518-483-5251 and one of our friendly staff will be glad to help you out. Weds, July 6th @ 11:00am….Motion Commotion………Yoga, ninjas, nursery rhyme relays and more will help explore the connection between movement and literature. Fun for all!

Weds, July 13th @ 11:00am…….Around the Year in Stories with Karen Pillsworth…..Karen will share tales that will touch your heart and make you laugh. Join her as she goes through a year story by story.

Weds, July 20th @ 11:00am………BIG Jeff’s Songs and Fun……..Jeff Desmedt is an award winning children’s singer and songwriter. We promise rocking musical fun, dancing, clapping, laughter and song! And yes, you could say Jeff is BIG. He is very tall and very talented!

Weds, July 27th @ 11:00am………..Olymp-Trick Games and Magic…….Magician Ron Cain will bring you on his magical journey to ancient Greece with emphasis on the Olympics, Greek myths and sports, and all just in time for the summer Olympics.

Thurs. evenings @ 6:30 throughout the month of July, Mrs. Andre will be having her very popular Story Time evenings for children 3-5 years of age. As space is limited a sign up is required. It’s as easy as dropping by or calling any of our staff at 518-483-5251 to register.
