As book lovers, we consider it near sacrilegious to dismember a book. However, one of our very talented staff, Jenna W., is totally into upcycling and has done some very clever things with  old discarded books. She is excited to be able to teach the public how to do the same.  Her “upcycling” provides unique works of art for her home and more.

Jenna will be showing how to make jewelry out of discarded books as well as trivets and wall tiles. On February 13th, at 11:00AM, a Saturday morning, she will be sharing her skills with all who are interested and have signed up for the class.  It promises to be  inspiring and great fun. Those of us here at the library who have seen her work have been impressed, both with the final result as well as the simplicity of the craft. We know you will find it time well spent and hopefully will be inspired to try your own hand at this easy craft.

The class requires sign up and spaces are limited to facilitate the learning and the fun!  Please call 518-483-5251 or stop by to sign up for this class. As always, there is no cost for any of the programs offered here at the Wead Library. We look forward to a fun and inspiring morning with our patrons.

Hope to see you there!
